01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Step past the leafy greenery framing the entrance, and the dining room opens into a calm, wood-toned retreat. With counter and table seating on the first floor alongside additional seating upstairs, Zapot allows guests to tailor the evening however they like, moving fluidly between casual izakaya-style bites and a full sit-down dinner.

Groups gathered around the table frequently share crowd-pleasing staples like the okonomiyaki pizza—topped with shredded cabbage and Otafuku sauce—or classic carbonara. Warm prepared plates are equally varied, featuring slowly braised beef cheek stew and a skillet of oyster and mushroom ajillo practically begging for white wine. Slices of baguette help mop up every drop of sauce, while lighter plates like shrimp and avocado fresh spring rolls or an assorted cheese platter keep grazing effortless.

The beverage selection is just as broad as the food. The bar pours draught beer and BrewDog Punk IPA alongside an extensive suite of liqueur-based cocktails, malt Scotch, bourbon, and house wines by the glass. With doors open until 24:00 late at night, it functions reliably both for an unhurried dinner and as an easy second stop or late toast in Kita-Senju.
